FAQS

WHAT ARE THE PIECES MADE OUT OF?

Almost all the pieces are high-fire stoneware up to cone 10 (2381°F).
There are exceptions with stoneware fires up to cone 6 (2165°F), and stoneware fires up to Raku (1830°F).
Ceramic is fragile, and some of the pieces require more attention. Please handle them with care to ensure the longevity of the piece.
Please keep in mind that all the pieces are handmade and that no piece is the same as another; for this reason, small imperfections may be present in all pieces.

ARE THE OCARINAS TUNED?

All the instruments are meant to play just to relax and see where the sounds will take you instead of being led by sheet music. The pre-Columbian culture didn’t care about the notes of the musical scale; they used the instruments for rituals or to imitate animals, and that is my intention too.

Now they need to sound good, and for that, I use Hertz instead of the notes of the musical scale to know which is the frequency. I have an app that helps me with high and low frequency; the name is Soundcorset.

WHEN WILL YOU RESTOCK?

Because the pieces are handmade and it is only me who makes them, they require a lot of work time. So please be patient, and I will notify you of the restock dates and times with an email or on my social accounts Instagram and TikTok (@marsel.bottega)
I will restock each time with new pieces; some may resemble previous ones, but it is not ensured that there will be similar pieces in future restocks. As a consequence, I cannot reserve any items; it is first come, first served with restocks. You can always ask me to make more than one style; that will help me make more products that you like, and you will not be sad that you could not buy a product that you liked.

DO YOU TAKE CUSTOM ORDERS?

I am no longer accepting any custom orders, but I accept suggestions for a style or new design to be made for a future restock.

WHAT ABOUT SHIPPING?

I will only be shipping domestically within the USA at this time.
Domestic shipping usually takes 3-8 business days to arrive, but it may vary with holidays and COVID delays.
Don’t forget to check your emails for tracking numbers.

RETURNS?

I am not responsible for any damage or loss that may occur during shipping. If you encounter any issues with your order, please contact USPS and file a claim on their website.
I do not offer refunds or exchanges based on your personal preferences regarding the size or appearance of your piece. Please review all the photos, measurements, and details in the description carefully before making a purchase.
